Workers of the Centro de Histoterapia Placentaria Dr. Carlos Manuel Miyares Cao visited the nursing home José Manuel Lazo de la Vega with a cultural activity, a donation and a commitment to ensure dermatological treatment and care to those who need it.

Beyond the material stuff, always useful and necessary, the nursing home José Manuel Lazo de la Vega is immensely grateful to the Placental Histotherapy Center for having prepared a generous morning for them, where laughter, emotions and hugs from the heart were multiplied.

A representation of Hisplacen, a prestigious group of Science and Biotechnology, in charge of research, development, production and marketing of medicines, cosmetics and nutrients derived from the human placenta and providing specialized medical services in vitiligo, psoriasis and alopecia, visited the nursing institution, located in the Havana municipality of La Lisa, where 59 patients receive care and social assistance.

The workers of its production plant, located in Valle Grande, in the municipality of La Lisa, and those of the headquarters located in the municipality of Playa, together with the national and international clinics, gathered various toiletries and clothing to make up this donation. Part of it was destined to the nursing home for the elderly and the other will soon arrive to children without filial protection.

While the donation was being delivered, elder Reina de la Caridad Cabrera expressed her animosity by being the first one to give some words of gratitude for this initiative which was accompanied by other joys, such as the presence of the singer-songwriter Raúl Torres and his project ¨A Cuba hay que quererla¨ (You have to love Cuba).

For director Sergio Reyes González, it was a welcoming opportunity for what these moments of exchange represent from the emotional point of view, while reiterating the importance of creating a link between institutions and local companies with this type of institutions, given the benefits generated from the social and the psychologic point of view among the elderly.

The commitment of granting dermatological assistance and other cares to whoever need them made by the workers of Hisplacen workers was sealed with the words of the General Director of center, Silvia Vera Shelton.

Histoterapia Placentaria, with 35 years’ experience and international prestigious, produced Melagenine Plus, accomplished in the nineties and still a leader product in the treatment of vitiligo.

This scientific center, belonging to the corporative group BiocubaFarma, set up the donation as part of the Day for the Cuban Science that, this year, will be extended till April. They were also commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the creation of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC in the Cuban acronym) and the birth of the Cuban National Hero, José Martí.
