The museum-classrooms project in Old Havana restarted its regular activities with the opening of the current school year and as a continuity of Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler´s thinking, creator of those spaces in the historic center of the city.

The permanence of students in classroom inside museums, sheltered residences and the ecological garden is an opportunity for children to grow.

¨The museum is a school, a classroom… For me the museum is necessary, not as an accumulation of dead objects belonging to a lifeless past, but a representation of a struggle against time and oblivion¨, expressed Eusebio Leal about this project.

In this way, the experience constitutes a hallmark of the management model of the Office of the Historian of Havana, due to its innovative character from the pedagogical point of view and for the benefits it has provided to children and the community in general.
