Halls and theaters re-open in Havana

Havana´s cultural scene re-opened its doors this weekend to the artistic programming, in connection with the activities that are being carried out in commemoration of the Day of the Cuban Culture.

The National Council for the Performing Arts (Consejo de Artes Escénicas) reported that this last Saturday reopened the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater, the Café Teatro and the Tito Junco Hall of the Bertolt Brecht complex, La Tintalla Hall, La Edad de Oro, La Villa Theater Hall, Garay Océano, El Arca and the Trompoloco Tent of the National Circus of Cuba.

We are pleased to be able to summon the people once again to the spaces where our artists perform their art, said the group and pointed out that most of the show planned are aimed at children.

Most of the options have been programmed from Friday to Sunday, where the power situation allows it, and in other cases only on Saturdays and Sundays, taking into account that our artists have been without rehearsals and training for months, it was reported in the press note.

During October and the rest of the year, other spaces will be incorporated to the capital´s cultural program, among them the Trianon Theater which will open this Wednesday and the Las Carolinas, Hubert de Blanc and the Nave Oficio de Isla Theaters, which will open this coming Friday.
