Havana Provincial Court is granted National Distinguished Collective status

In the Main Hall of the Tribunal Supremo Popular(People´s Supreme Court), complying with the sanitary measures due the Covid 19 outbreak, the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and General Secretary of the National Syndicate of Public Administration Workers, Yaiciel Osvaldo Pieter Terry, delivered the recognition to Karla Jiménez Castaño and Yojanier Sierra Infante, General Secretary and President of the Union Bureau, respectively, of the People´s Provincial Court of Havana.

The important award granted by the National Syndicate of the Public Administration of Cuba rewards the comprehensive results obtained in the judicial year,2020.

Among the main aspects of this recognized work, the processing, solution and execution of the legal matters of the people with the due quality in the service as well as the effective multidisciplinary management were highlighted.

Rising above the exceptional circumstances generated by Covid-19 outbreak, this group maintained stability and relevance of human resources, favorable working conditions and environments, while achieving higher levels of technical efficiency through constant training and education.

The event recognized how, in the midst of the pandemic, the professionals of the Justice Enforcement in Habana kept the stability in the service. Among the most solid advances that contributed to this distinction was the work as teaching unit in conjunction with the Law School of the University of Havana and the University Student Federation(FEU).

In this regard, the insertion of students who carry out internships in the judicial offices and are linked to scientific research and innovation to the judicial activity stood out.

This distinction rises the commitment of the law professionals to the work they do.

Master Yojanier Sierra Infante, president of the People´s Provincial Court of Havana indicated that from now on all the professional actions of this judicial body must bear as a seal the honor that means being constituted for the first time a Distinguished Group at national level.

This brings with it the responsibility, the demand to achieve ever greater quality, transparency and effectiveness in the administration of justice in Havana.

The event, attended by Yuniaski Crespo Baquero, member of the Central Committee and also member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Havana and Rubén Remigio Fierro, president of the People´s Supreme Court, was the occasion to present the Commemorative Seal 50th Anniversary of Havana to Dagma Cabrera Jorge, vice-president of the People´s Provincial Court, as young woman who has shown outstanding results I her career as judge and cadre.

There were also awarded 6 workers of the judicial body, for having worked more than 20 years in the juridical sector and for keeping a consequent behavior with the Revolution standards, with the distinction Enrique Hart Dávalos.

Throughout the country, 130 work collective have received the maximum distinction during the current year due to the high results obtained in the work line and the syndical work.
