No new positives for Covid-19 have been identified in the capital.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, September 18, 14 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,111,045.

162 remain hospitalized and 69 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 12 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,102,363 (99.2%) recovered patients. 93 active cases were confirmed, 90 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana no case was diagnosed.

For COVID-19, 1,744 samples were studied, resulting in 14 being positive. The country accumulates 14,133,929 samples and 1,111,045 positives.

Of the 14 confirmed cases, 11 were contacts of confirmed cases, 1 with a source of infection abroad, and 2 to be specified.

Of the female sex 10, and of the male 4. In the Intensive Care, 3 patients remain in serious condition.

There was no asymptomatic case on the day, accumulating a total of 147,480, which represents 13.27%.

The 14 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 7, and from 20 to 39, 4; from 40 to 59, 1; and 60 and over, 2 cases.

Until this September 18, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.6% of the world, and 1.59% of the Americas.
