Sensitive issues for the population and the country will be under the scrutiny of the deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) this Wednesday, in the prelude to a new session period.

For this, the permanent work commissions of the ANPP will meet at the Convention Center of this capital, which will discuss 39 topics related to 52 Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Revolution, and with the National Plan of Economic and Social Development until 2030.

The commissions will analyze the implementation of laws related to foreign investment, international cooperation, criminal proceedings and the development of renewable energy sources.

They will also carry out verifications on the port-transport-internal economy operation, creation and use of new capacities for tourism, the results of the last sugar harvest, the adoption of measures to recover beef production and the use of renewable energies.

The deputies will review compliance with public programs and policies such as housing and drinking water supply, as well as the operation of pharmacy and optician companies.

The ANPP will meet in plenary from July 21, the date on which the progress of the economy in the first half of the year and the execution of the State budget during 2021 will be on the agenda.

Before the Cuban Parliament, they will demonstrate their work before the People's Supreme Court, the Attorney General's Office and the government of the eastern province of Granma.

On July 23, the legislators will debate again, for its approval, the project of the Family Code (version 25), and they will decide the rules and date of a national referendum on the definitive text.
