Havana will host the Solutions Cuba exhibition

On June 28 and 29, the exhibition Soluciones Cuba will be held in Havana, in which 150 contributions with a high impact on the economy and society will be announced, devised by members of the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR) in the Province.

The meeting, to be held in the Armando Mestre social circle, located on Calle Primera y 18, in the Havana municipality of Playa, aims to search for skills, with a marked emphasis on generalization, that contribute to planning rationally and effectively , the material and financial resources that ensure the preparation of the plan and the budgets for the year 2023; as well as favoring the chain between state entities and the new actors in the economy, after the search for innovative answers to problems in all sectors of the economy and society.

The innovations that will be presented are the result of the creative talent of state and non-state workers and active retirees, who propose solutions that generate savings from all kinds of resources, mainly energy carriers; also to demands of transport, food production, industries, among others.

Katia Arencibia Guerra, current president of the ANIR, stressed that universities and research centers will also be present.

She reported that the program of the meeting includes an exchange between entities, with a view to the decision-makers of the province and the country to appreciate the solutions found in a given scenario and assess how to promote its impact on other economic activities.

She also commented that idle and slow-moving inventories that exist in many centers and that may be of interest and benefit to anirists will be exhibited.

Referring to the complex scenario in which the economy is developing, the general secretary of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) in the Cuban capital, Alfredo Vázquez, considered that this exhibition is one more space for the construction of the plan for 2023. In this regard, he emphasized: “From the ANIR we must achieve greater impacts on our economy; from innovation, greater chaining”.

For her part, Tania Sotomayor, an official of the ANIR in Havana, who recently finished her term as president after 15 years of work, expressed that Soluciones Cuba seeks to be that space where innovators exchange with each other, appreciate first-hand the work of other partners and establish alliances in favor of multiplying experiences, many of which are shelved, without ignoring that there are those who spend effort and resources to innovate what someone else has already done.

On October 8, the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers will celebrate its 46th anniversary. The genesis of this organization was closely linked to the difficulties that arose in the country after the triumph of the Revolution in 1959, due to the exodus of technicians and the shortage of spare parts, resulting from the actions of the United States government to drown the nascent revolutionary process. Then, Ernesto Che Guevara, from his position as Minister of Industries, called on the workers to search for solutions that would prevent the paralysis of the economy. Since then, the workers have resorted to their creativity and talent to guarantee the vitality of various productive activities and services.

“The lack of raw materials and spare parts have been the fundamental problems we have had (…) with the work of all the workers in all the factories in the country, countless problems have been solved (…) we are studying a second emulation campaign (...) which will be called: Build your own machine..., Che called at the first National Production Meeting, held in Havana on August 27 and 28, 1961

In the conception and development of the ANIR, the ideas of the Captain of the working class Lázaro Peña González and the innovative thought of its main inspirer, the Heroic Guerrilla, proclaimed Honorary President at the Constituent Conference on October 8, 1976, played an essential role. , in compliance with an agreement of the XIII Congress of the Cuban Workers Central, held in Havana in 1973.

You have to look, union leaders, at the economy. Our view has to focus centrally on production”, he expressed in the plenary session of the Congress held at the Principal theater in Camagüey on August 28, 1973. Photo: Taken from Workers.

Among the awards given annually by the ANIR are the October 8 condition, the highest category awarded to the most outstanding workers and groups in fulfilling their tasks, and the Golden Talents award.
