JUNE 6: 61st Anniversary of the creation of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT)
On this day, Cubans celebrate the creation of the Ministry of the Interior, a body pregnant with sacrifices and daily heroism to defend the achievements of our Revolution.
On his Twitter social network channel, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC; Comrade Miguel Díaz Canel, meant a phrase of the historical leader of the Revolution when pointing out:
The Portal of the Government of Havana approaches this tribute of the people to the MININT with Fidel's evaluations of a work that is carried out day after day incessantly, with his load of will, personal sacrifice and heroism without limits. His strength is the strength of the people and is the guarantee of citizen peace and tranquility. The guarantors of our national security.
This is confirmed by our leader, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro:
In the Revolution the tasks are very diverse and they all have their importance. But some are more visible, have more relief. On many fronts of revolutionary work there is always its culminating moment. In production, for example, a culminating moment was the fulfillment of the goal of 6 million this year; The defense of the country has had several culminating moments, and thus, as a result of the mercenary invasion, for example, we had a culminating moment in the task of our Revolutionary Armed Forces. On many fronts you see the effort, you see the result, you see the fruits. There are other fronts of the Revolution that, on the other hand, are not easy in those culminating moments and that, however, is a work that is carried out day after day incessantly, pregnant with sacrifice, with heroism; of heroism that silent man who, in the performance of his duty, whether he is a member of State Security, or a colleague who monitors traffic, or a colleague who works in the Fire Department, or colleagues who They keep public order, or comrades who infiltrate the ranks of the enemies and who therefore have the bitter task of passing as counterrevolutionaries to serve the Revolution...
FIRMNESS, REVOLUTIONARY CONVICTION, IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT IN THIS CASE.
It must be said that due to the type of tasks performed by the men and women who work in this organization of the Revolution, they must necessarily be among the best men and women of our people; from among the most revolutionary and the most firm. Firmness, revolutionary conviction, is an essential requirement in this case. And in reality we can say that these characteristics abound to a very high degree among the comrades who work on this front of the Revolution, and thanks to that there have been many victories against the enemy, many successes have been achieved.
MANY TIMES THAT WORK IS CARRIED OUT IN A QUIET, SELF-SERVING, SILENT WAY.
He said, he pointed out, the nature of the work of the colleagues from the Ministry of the Interior and how many times that work is carried out in a quiet, self-sacrificing, silent manner. Hence, we were all moved by the memory of those colleagues who, carrying out difficult, hard tasks, have exercised that silent heroism, which has all the merit that any other heroism can have, but also that merit of anonymous heroism.
And, of course, revolutionaries fight for a cause, revolutionaries do not fight for a prize, neither in life nor a posthumous prize; Revolutionaries do not even fight for the glories of this world. Martí said that all the glories of the world fit in a grain of corn.
The man who fulfills his duty, fulfills it well, because of the high concept he has of his obligations, because of the great love he feels towards his cause.
Against the men who carry out this task and who are in the front line of the revolutionary struggle, the enemies are merciless. The enemy hates the one who fights him the most, he hates the ones he fears the most, he hates the ones he sees as the representatives of the always alert and always combative spirit of the Revolution.
FIGHT AGAINST THE ENEMY THROUGH TRULY REVOLUTIONARY METHODS.
It must be said that this institution, as the revolutionary institution that it is, fights against the enemy through truly revolutionary methods. It is the duty of the Revolution not only to discover and dismantle or annihilate the organizations or acts of the enemy; it is also a duty to prevent them, it is also a duty to even rehabilitate many times those enemies that can be rehabilitated.
And this institution, which confronts these activities and confronts them energetically, also carries out many other activities of extraordinary social interest.
