The entity was in maintenance and now it works again, in support of the national electricity generation.

Unit 8 of the CTE Máximo Gómez and unit 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez are currently undergoing maintenance. The limitations in thermal generation (471 MW) are maintained.

Previously, the first secretary of the Old Havana municipality Party, Tamara Placeres, convened a meeting with Maikel Borrás, vice president of the Municipal Assembly and administrative staff, to take extreme saving measures due to the complex electrical situation in the country.

She demanded to adopt the pertinent measures to raise revolutionary vigilance in the face of any affectation and contribute to the energy saving of consumer equipment in the workplace.

And among the alternatives, it was proposed to keep off, for 6 hours a day, the departments where the presence of personnel is not necessary and replicate similar measures in the state and residential sector.
