The meeting of the Provincial Government Council, chaired by Maritza Drake, member of the Cuban Communist Party Bureau and Governor Reinaldo García Zapata, discussed among its main topics the economic results of the territory and the accountability of the People's Court and the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

The Provincial Directorate of Economy and Planning of Havana, highlighted in its economic report, the discreet recovery of net sales of the local activity, which has had a positive impact on the indicators of profit and productivity, mostly associated to the subsidy of medicines and food.

According to the text, 35 entities of the territory are in loss, with the highest incidence concentrated in the Havana Provincial Transport Company and the Gastronomy Company.

In this sense, actions are being promoted to reverse this situation, among them, the work of analysis and solution of the boards of directors of the companies with losses is being followed up, the structure of the workforces is being closely monitored, in addition to the implementation of the 43 measures approved for the strengthening of the Socialist State Enterprise of the Entrepreneurial System.

The report pointed out in relation to the budgetary behavior, that the results of the capital accounts (income and expenses), maintain a positive result numerically.

For its part, the Havana Provincial Court presented, among other points, the characterization of the 2021 judicial year, which was marked by the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic, the intensification of the economic blockade, which accentuated the shortages and needs of the population, in addition to the unprecedented deployment of the unconventional war against our socialist social system and the people, with subversive attacks.

As positive aspects of the period, 90 actions of our own were implemented, which added to the reopening of the country internally and externally, thanks to the management of the Government from science and innovation.

The intense legislative process of the National Assembly of People's Power resulted in the most comprehensive and profound Judicial Procedural Reform in the history of the country, in which the Law of the Courts of Justice, the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Code of Administrative Procedure and the Code of Proceedings were approved.

The commitment of the judicial workers, the support of the People's Supreme Court to the provincial structure, the unity of the factors of the province in every situation and the alliance with the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana were highlighted as one of the main achievements.

Among the participants in the meeting were also present the main coordinators and program directors, as well as the mayors of the 15 municipalities.
