Díaz-Canel got impressed by the outcomes achieved with the ear implants program and stressed that, despite the situation the country faces, the specialist linked to this experience, has shown their capacity of making great progresses.

The president also highlighted the importance of having participated in the closure of the Introductory Course to International Business Laws, at the Aula Magna of the University of Havana.

The Cuban president talked about the repercussion of the beginning of the school year for the capital, even the hard conditions imposed by the Covid-19 outbreak, and praised the role played by the universities-some of which became isolation centers- during this pandemic times.

Likewise, the mandatary talked about the involvement of 8 High- Studies Centers on innovation programs of the government, their participation in the Temporary Working Groups and the impact they had in the territories, giving an example of the use of knowledge for the improvement and production of goods and services.

He made reference to an aging scientific potential and a new one for which opportunities of professional improvement must be created.

Díaz –Canel encouraged to rescue the experiences gathered during the Special Period by a group of state centers, in relation to self-consumption so that, they can provide ideas and strategies for the workers, the community and the employment´s generation.

A call was made for the municipalities to continue gaining autonomy, re-ordering the sale of construction materials so that constructive actions could be improved, to move forward on the checkup of the governmental structures: presidents of the Municipals Assemblies, Intendents and Speakers.  

At the May 1st celebration´s doorsteps, the president summoned the people to rise the social commitment and to give everything for the homeland, to march with everything.

On his side, Minister Manuel Marrero explained the goals of the governmental visit which were to supervise the implementation of the prioritized programs, the identification of obstacles for the economic and social development, and to keep endorsing the exchanges with the people. Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, First Secretary of the Communist Party in the province and Reinaldo García Zapata, Governor of Havana who briefed about the main programs and actions carried out in the last times in Havana, also intervened in the visit.
