International Congress of the Didactics of Sciences takes place.

The XI International Congress of the Didactics of Sciences and the XVII International Workshop about the Teaching of Physics will take place until April 14th, with the attendance of 180 delegates from Argentina, Brasil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuator, Mexico and Cuba in the virtual space.

The openig of the event took place this Monday, in the online modality, with the attendance of PhD.  Eva Escalona Serrano, head of Science and Technique of the Ministery of Education of Cuba (MINED) and PhD. Ana Gloria Calderón Zedeño, member of the Secretariat of the National Union of Workers of the Education Sector, Science and Sport.

Carlos Silfredo Barrios, vice-president of the Scientific Committee of the Congress, led the opening  and the initial conference was held by PhD. In Sciences Gema Díaz, president of the Organizing Committee and General Director of Education and Scientific Activities of MINED.

Four courses related to Didactic of Physics, Mathematics and Biology were carried out as part of the opening of the event and in commemoration of the International Year of Basic Sciences for a Sustainable Development and the implementation of Agenda 2023.

The scientific activities of the eight symposium included in the XI International Congress of the Didactics of Sciences and the XVI International Workshop on Teaching of Physics, will commence this Tuesday 12th.

Courses on The teaching-learning process in the pedagogic formation of high level education , the virtual environments, the neuro-sciences in Education, Teaching Sciences by non-school ways, the role of imagination in the scientific research.

The education on sciences, the teaching-learning process of the exact, natural and technical  sciences in all level of education, the sustainable development and Agenda 2023 in the International Year of the Basic Sciences are the main topics of the Congress.

Courses of the Opening Day:

Carlos Sigfredo Barrios, vice-president of the Sub-Comission of Physics of the Central Institute of Pedagogic Sciences and Raúl Larramendi Valdés, PhD. In Physic Sciences of the University of Havana, led the first course , proposing Two resources for improving Physics lessons and a better use of the methods of science in the teaching of the Physics.

Sigfredo Barrios expoused details of the first resource that allows the analysis of an experiment´s footage, through the use of a software, in order to further study what takes place during the experiment, do some measurements and getting data from the experiment of what is not observed in plain sight.

On his side, PhD. on Physics  Saúl Larramendi Valdés, proposes the mathematic modelling of an experiment through the analysis of the experiment´s footage.

Larramendi Valdés assured that the mathematic modelling of the results obtained from the analysis of the footage of the experiment, describes both the phenomenon and its execution.

The integrative Chemistry lesson in the context of the Agenda 2030 and The way of organizing a learning situation since the inter-disciplinarity of Chemistry, the methodological work performed in order to accomplish an integrative lesson of this subject which might respond to Objective 4 of the Agenda 2030 , were the main topics discussed in the course offered by PhD. Cayetano Alberto Caballero, head teacher of the Enrique José Varona University.

PhD. Luis R. Jardinot Mustelier, of the Directorate of Science and Technique of MINED, and PhD. Raquel Rodríguez Artau, of the Empresa de Informatica y Medios Audiovisuales- under the title: The enhancement of the Biology in Cuba- announced that some changes on the objectives and the content of Chemistry as a Subject have been made under the aim of perfectioning the discipline.

In regard with the objectives of this subject, Jardinot Mustelier explained that new contents are being incorporated that were not included in the previous syllabus.  New topics will be discussed such as biology of the development, ecology, genetic evolution, enthology and the denominated Study on the animal behavior.

In the methodological field-he pointed out-the aim is to reach the development of the thinking and the creativity of the students.
