The first cuban biomedic engineers graduated.

The first 17 bioinformatic engineers of the country were recently introduced to the society from the municipality of La lisa in the city of Havana.  

The group includes 30 informatic engineers and the first 17 Bioinformatics in Cuba, out of 47 students of the Universidad de Ciencia Informaticas de la  La Habana, as Radio Coco reported ( UCI).

Young graduates sweared to be always connected to the future and to the Revolution, taking into account they belong to the future troops, as Fidel named them once.That was at the theater of the Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Cuba, among aplauses and and recognitions.

During the  ceremony they celebrated the 60 anniversary of the Unión de Jóvenes Comunistas and the 20 anniversary of that University. They kept the Commander in Chief´s  thoughts present all the time, the creator of UCI and the one to promote another cultural change  in Cuba with the implementation of digital knowledges.

The highest award was given to two  high level of acheivment students, who were distinguished during their studies, at the graduation of the 30 informatic engineers and the first 17 Bioinformatics in Cuba.

Camila Castro Martínez, Engineer Bioinformática, was given the prize Mérito Científico by Dunia Colome Cedeño PhD, vice-rector of the UCI, who explained that the graduates in Bioinformatics are going to be the force which will guarantee the cuban exelence in the field.

The vice-minister of Higher Education, Alicia Alonso Becerra; Miriam Nicado Garcés PhD, rectorof the Universidad de La Habana and the rector of UCI, Raydel Montesino Perurena, accompanyed the students, among other distinguished professors.

The object of the Bioinformatic engineering is the computational treatment of the  chemical – biological  and medical knowledge since storage, organization and visualization of the processes and  nanoscopic structures linked to life.
