The first Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, call for the socialization of the country experiences on the program to renovate communities which are considered vulnerable, to improve their living conditions.

A report of the Presidency Site was launched in a meeting to evaluate the implementation of the government´s idea, done in the Palacio de la Revolución in the city.

There is going to be a National Workshop to evaluate what has been done and the participation of the organs of Central Administration of the organizations and research centers.

The leader emphasized on the on the importance of dealing with people´s problems with sensitivity and find a quick response and not forgetting about the social work when dealing with old infrastructure problems.

 According to the media, the meeting this morning focused on the main actions developed in the capital, with an strategy in 127 neighborhoods.

The Governor of La Habana, Reinaldo García Zapata, said that  82 actions have been carried out , 1991 in construction and others with social implications, as the distribution of  food cards  to buy the regulated family shopping basket ,  houses authentication  and job offers or possibilities to continue studying.   

Registrations for nurseries were offered, assistance to mothers with more than three children was prioritized and economic assistance to families in vulnerable situations. 

 García Zapata explained that there are more than 500 residential complexs that need a change in the water supply system and said that there are different economy actors working on that.  

The program for improving the neighborhoods in the country involves different ministries  and regional actors  to recover areas, improving communications  ,  communal services, transportation and health, in constant relation with the population.

Representatives of different organisms and entities explained the  main advances,  making emphasis on the use of the financial resources.

Díaz-Canel explained that the plans for the transformation are taken into account in the municipalities budget, which “allows a higher level planning, control, completion, eradicates uncertainty and let us work more coherent”
