Chavez heart of the people

By Elena Milagros Godinez Dalmau
To talk about Hugo Chavez Frias is to feel his spirit, it is to know that the wisdom of the Venezuelan people is still in our homeland, it is to immortalize that man who for more than three decades fought for the brave people of Bolivar, attached to his revolutionary thinking and convictions.
This March 5 marks the 9th anniversary of the physical departure of the faithful friend of Cuba, of the Cubans, whom Fidel Castro always embraced as a brother and considered a bulwark of Latin America.
The evolution of Chavist thinking is an example of intransigence for Venezuela and the world. Last February 4 marked the 30th anniversary of that starting point for patriotic Venezuela. The National Dignity Day of the people of Bolivar is remembered every year for its imprint and for those words of Comandante Chavez:
"...The Venezuelan military rebellion of 1992 was inevitable as is the eruption of volcanoes; no such rebellion is decreed, and I take this opportunity to give an everlasting memory to the young military and civilians of the rebellions of 1992, February 4 and November 27 of that year that will remain for history...".
The greatness of this leader whose contributions have given strength to thought and praxis in Latin America is unequaled. That is why all generations of Cubans and Venezuelans must approach his work, his great sense of the Homeland, not only his own, but that of Martí and Fidel, Latin America, a region for which he founded the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of America (ALBA TCP) and of which he will always be its eternal leader.
Hugo Chávez is the heart of the people, of Venezuela and of Cuba. In Havana he had the opportunity to share many moments with the Revolution and its people, that is why remembering him not only in March, but in every struggle we wage, is the best tribute we can pay him.
