Torres Iríbar made a call to shake up the socialist enterprise so that it produces and makes profits, at the meeting, in which special attention was paid to the urgent need to take advantage of the measures approved for this economic actor, a part of which, remains with losses, hence the call to allocate financial resources to investments.

On this issue, Reinaldo García Zapata, Provincial Governor, insisted on the need to advance in its linkage with the new forms of management in order to promote the development of both parties.

As of December, 556 MSMEs had been created in the territory and the main economic activities approved were: construction services, manufacture of articles, repair and maintenance of equipment.

Regarding the liquidation of the Budget, the provincial director of Finance and Prices, Grisel de la Nuez de la Teja, pointed out the existence of non-execution in 2021 and warned that it is urgent to banish the vice of asking for money and then not executing it. This is unacceptable, he said.

He exemplified activities in which this behavior was evidenced, such as subsidies for construction materials, construction maintenance and neighborhood executions.

Mirna Laffita, provincial director of Economy, highlighted the 5 prioritized objectives of the economy for 2022: to achieve the stability of the Cuban peso, the electric energy system, and prices; the attention to vulnerable people, families and neighborhoods, and that the entrepreneurial system occupies the role that corresponds to it.

Likewise, the results related to the control of illegalities, carried out by the Attorney General's Office in the Commerce and Gastronomy sector in Havana, were analyzed.

The progress of the improvement of Commerce was discussed, which is currently going through the process of reviewing the file of the Empresa Provincial de Mercados Agropecuarios after the transfer of real estate to Acopio.

In the case of Gastronomy, work has been carried out on the transfer of the units to be managed by other provincial companies and only those that are going to be transferred to non-State management are left.

Progress is being made in all the municipalities to create the basic business units, in order to subsequently transfer them to the companies at this level.

It was reported at the meeting that the creation of the subsidiary municipal companies of Commerce has already been approved, the directors and boards of directors have been appointed, and in the next few days they will be officially constituted.

On the other hand, the need to move to a digital government and to take advantage of digital spaces was analyzed.

We serve the population but not where we are invited to do so, which is in these spaces, said Raúl Vantroi Navarro, assistant to the Coordinator of Programs and Objectives for Industry.

 The official explained that in the capital there are technological conditions for Internet connection so that people can receive services from a cell phone.

In the world it works like that and here in Havana we have conditions for it without the need for investment, we could do five times more than what we are currently doing, he added.

 The functioning of the People's Councils, the fulfillment of the Housing Plan, the execution of subsidies and the local production of construction materials were also analyzed.

Yanet Hernández Pérez, Deputy Provincial Governor and Maritza Drake, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba in Havana, were present at the meeting.
