Luis Carlos Góngora Domínguez, Director of Foreign Trade and International Relations of the Government of the City and vice-president of the Organizing Committee, explained at a press conference that the summoning is deeply connected to what is currently happening in the economic scenario of the country, through a restructuring process of the company structure al local level.

He highlighted that there are already a significant number of economic actors in the province and hence, this is a convenient moment to summon the biggest amount of them in a common physical space.

The vice-president of the Organizing Committee announced that during the event a digital platform will be released allowing the participants to interact among them.

Isabel Hanze Ruiz, secretary of the Organizing Committee, pointed out, that a stand has been set for the entities authorized to make business with these managements forms.

According to Hanze, this initiative is of great importance because it allows the local development projects to make business agreements, which sometimes turn out to be difficult for them to get with the state entities.

A scientific event will also take place, co-sponsored by the University of Havana and the Council of Rectors, bringing the opportunity of presenting scientific researches that help solving some of the existents problematics in the municipalities of Havana.

Likewise, during these days a theoretical event will be held in which topics such as the Local Development Especial Areas, the value of creativity and innovation, the market research, the Financing and Banking Loans, communication, will be discussed in the morning sessions.

In the afternoons, there will be expositions of the municipal development strategies and on April 1st, an exchange with institutional projects will take place in order to dialogue about projects gestation.

The new economic actors will have the opportunity of being provided with services of formalities at the Fair, by addressing offices that will be set to fulfil this purpose, in representation to the legal institutions that offer services to them (ETECSA, ONAT, Law Firms, Banks, The IT Union of Cuba, the Association of communicators of Cuba, the Joven Club de Computación, among others).

The best stands will be prized, the best municipality, the best shows of the Municipal Development Strategy, Gold Medal to the products and Special Prizes to Organisms and Institutions.

The registration will take place at the Local Development Office in the municipalities, till next March 8th.

The public could attend to the event as observer and will have access to the products, for which a bus fleet have been reinforced to get to Expocuba, at the traditional pick-up points in the municipalities.
