The coastal city of Regla is repairing the sidewalks in its historic center where El Emboque is located, one of the one hundred Havana neighborhoods undergoing transformation.

At present, attention is mainly focused on Maceo and Martí Streets, the latter considered the most frequented by the neighbors and the scene par excellence of the dance evolutions of the internationally known dance troupe Los Guaracheros de Regla.

Both arteries, which are approximately one kilometer long and cross the old demarcation, and flanked by service centers, are born next to the warm waters and humid breezes of the Regla coastline, and end at the square of the municipal cemetery.

It relies on the administrative requirement and the popular control of the neighbors to avoid that during the forging of the mixture, people in bad practices of conduct write on the cemented surface.

It also requires the cooperation of the population through volunteer work as did the neighbors of La Colonia, another of the neighborhoods reglanos in transformation.
