The Acuario Nacional extends its schedule to celebrate February 14th

The Acuario Nacional, as a good host , offers friendship, and a proven love for the sea context. The Institution is celebrating February 14 with an extended schedule for Friday 11th and Saturday 12th .

 There are several performances of the Circo Nacional de Cuba arranged to celebrate the day of Love and Friendship; at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. The project Gigantería Habana will distract visitors from 7:00 p.m. to the closing time. In the areas of la Isla Tropical, the Gruta Marina, the aquarium of the Siete Picos and la Rocalla of sea dogs, visitors can see the popular display of the sea flora and fauna.

The vice director of Environmental Education and Recreation, María Elena Montes Quintana, told the newspaper Tribuna de La Habana there is a gastronomic service as well for those visiting this scientific center specialized in research and environmental education, located in calle 3ra. and 62, in the neighborhood of Miramar in Havana, in Playa.

The gastronomic project La Moneda Cubana, famous for the qualification of the young people working for it, will be at the area of la Isla Tropical.  Other non-governmental projects will also be there at the Acuario to give service.  

Mabel Góngora Leal, the head of the Communication and Marketing Department said that on February 13th they will open the place since 10: 00 a.m. until 6: p.m. and visitors will see the dolphins in the dolphinarium, take part in didactic games, extend knowledge in the talks given at the aquariums, among other options.   

María Elena Montes said: “We are not having recreational didactic activities with mammals, taking into account that during the time the place was closed because of the Covid- 19 pandemic, repairs were done, including the tensoforms and now the specimen are going through an adaptation process to its usual space”.

The entrance to the Acuario Nacional will be as they come and visitors have to pay at the ticket office. Visitors should respect regulations in this time of Covid -19; the use of the mask is mandatory. Visitors do not have to pay the ticket for children under two years; from 2 years to eleven they should pay 5 pesos and from 12 years on they have to pay ten pesos. 

The activity with the Circo Nacional will cost visitors 12 pesos additional for kids and 20 for adults.
