The Cuban President, Miguel Díaz- Canel encouraged to make systematic the dialogue with different sectors of the society and to work with creativity in the improvement of neighborhoods.
In a recent meeting of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba(PCC) the president evaluated as remarkable actions carried out in vulnerable communities and expressed that although work is being done to give solution to the problematics, some of them are still pendant.
He pointed out that, although there are some territories where the management of the country has carried out exchanges with the factors, it is necessary to have a beforehand plan, ¨we cannot get to meetings without having a solution or an implementation plan¨.
Diaz-Canel said that although accomplishment reached, work performed in the communities is not done with the same creativity, perseverance and initiative alike.
During the meeting it transcended that thanks to these exchanges it was perceived the need of working in the communication field, social and gender equality, the fight against violence and the work with the youth.
Other challenges to overcome are the attention to vulnerable people and to develop ways for the improvement of their economic reality, addressing gaps in social vulnerabilities and to provide equality of conditions to the new economic factors in regard with the state socialist enterprise.
Statements gathered also alluded to the need of increasing the legal, economic and financial culture, the dissemination in the municipalities of spaces for people´s attention, to continue the fight in the social network as well as the work in the communities and the engagement of the inhabitants in the works carried out in their communities.
Roberto Morales, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba expressed that the experiences gathered constitute a starting point for the work systems in key spaces for the construction of the country and highlighted the need to incorporate the outcomes of the exchanges hold into the provinces and the municipalities.
Hosted by students, young people, LGBTIQ+ community activists, religious leaders, academics, jurists, agricultural producers and some other sectors, from August to the date, 26 meetings were carried out under the aim of establishing a permanent dialogue between the maximum direction of the country and the population.
