Cultural precinct in the municipality of La Lisa in Havana

Outstanding painters such as Wilfredo Lam, Alfredo Sosabravo, Flora Fong and Manuel Mendive among others are evoked through their works in the murals on the terrace of the Domingo Ravenet art gallery, located at 160th and 51st streets.

Renown painters of this range have their perennial remembrance space, which was the goal the director Yanet Frómeta and her collective of workers set to promote the knowledge around the plastic arts in Cuba and specially the work of these consecrated representatives, under the aim of engaging children and adolescents in this field of arts.

Havana painters converge in this space to leave their mark in the best way, as Yanet Frómeta Benítez did herself, Jorge Serpa de la Hoz, Daniel Urbay Molina, Yuniesky Rodríguez Peña and Efrén Moreta, authors of the mural.

In this way the gallery guarantees the education in artistic values in this terrace, called to become, according to Serpa de la Hoz, a center were artisans come to exhibit their creations, writers with themes of literature and cinema, for exchanging and debate.
