Cuba adds new power floating plant for electricity generation

The arrival in Cuba of a floating facility for power generation will add 130 megawatts of power to the National Electric System, according to information published on Twitter on Thursday by Lázaro Guerra Hernández, technical director of the Electric Union (Unión Eléctrica, UNE).

As a result of an agreement between Cuba and the Turkish company Karadeniz Holding, in Mariel Bay, another of this power plants, also called patanas, will be installed, which places Cuba among the group of countries that have these facilities for electricity generation and places it as the first country in Latin America with type of installation.
