Progress is being made in the rehabilitation of social works in the Canal People´s Council, in the municipality of Cerro

In compliance with the Program of Integral Attention in socially complex neighborhoods in Havana, the locality of el Canal, in the municipality of Cerro, receives rehabilitation in three of its most important social objectives.

Supported by the Temporary Working Group (GTT) and the Ministry of Energy and Mining(MINEM), that accompanied these actions together with other institutions of the business system of the territory, such as Comunales and Aguas de la Habana, the inhabitants can observe the new face of several entities in the area.

In this sense, repairs are being carried out in Perrito Goloso Kindergarten and the Miguel Figueroa Elementary School, that are ready to welcome children after receiving improvements in the carpentry, the renovation and finishing of the walls that were painted as part of the final touch, as well as the repair of the restrooms service.

Children´s kindergarten and elementary schools are benefitted by constructive actions in El Canal. 

On the other hand, the well-known Fernando VII Aqueduct, a work that allows the supply of drinking water to homes in the territory, is in a complete phase of completion, providing better hygiene-sanitary conditions to the community and also help to the execution of some other constructive actions.

According to what Mercedes Alba Cuní, president of this People´s Council, expressed, in the next few days there will begin other constructive work in spaces that treasure part of the culture of the territory in the capital.

Actions are being executed in outer and inner spaces of the Perrito Goloso Kindergarten in El Canal, in the municipality of Cerro.
