The health intervention with the Soberana 02 vaccine candidate will start in the second half of June, in the municipality of La Lisa, explained José Castañeda Martínez; President of the San Agustín’s People’s Council and representative for the National Parliament of the People’s Power.

With this purpose, more than 30 vaccination spots are being prepared in the area of San Agustín, which have already been painted and its materials, organized, said the representative.

He added that the locations already have the minimum and indispensable conditions for the doses to be efficiently applied to the at-risk inhabitants.

The representative pointed out that some of the spots are schools or houses of active supporters the revolutionary process, located at a distance of 300 meters from the place where the health intervention will take place.

He said that a meeting took place recently with local doctors, nurses, and auxiliary staff who were designated for this actions. All of this, in order to plan, organize the lists, and guarantee that the task takes place without setbacks, which will allow the coverage to succeed.    

Being proud of the quick response of the residents of San Agustin’s different areas, Castañeda Martínez congratulates the managing personnel, the project’s staff, the freelancers of the building La Estrella, and the members of the Villamir project, who were the first to repair, paint, and officially present the vaccination spots for this areas’ health intervention.

Finally, he assures that this process is not only the work of the Municipal Direction of Public Health in this territory, but that it also constitutes the people’s duty, all of this, for the 100% of the dose application to be accomplished.

The main task of our National Public Health System is to achieve that the health intervention takes place in more than a 60% of the Cuba population by this year’s August.
