Havana and Moscow sign Memorandum of Collaboration

In the context of the 38th Havana International Fair, FIHAV 2022 and in greeting to the 503rd anniversary of the Foundation of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana, a Memorandum of Collaboration was signed this Friday between the Governments of Havana and Moscow, capital of the Russian Federation.

Reinaldo García Zapata, Governor of Havana and Sergei Cheremin, Minister of Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of Foreign Economy and International Relations of the Government of the Russian capital, headed the signatures that will expand exchanges and relations between the two capitals: The Havana and Moscow.

Also present on the Cuban side was Luis Carlos Góngora, coordinator of programs that attends to International Relations and Foreign Investment in the Government of Havana.

Both delegations expressed the importance of signing this Memorandum and held a fraternal dialogue to strengthen the ties of friendship that have kept the peoples of the Russian Federation and Cuba firm for more than six decades.

The Governor of Havana, Reinaldo García Zapata, visibly moved, affirmed that despite the intentions from the White House to tarnish the intense and historic relations between Russia and Cuba and intensify the blockade measures, Moscow and Havana are showing that the Cooperation, solidarity, and friendship are bridges of love that call us to continue united to achieve the transformation of our nations.

Participating on the Russian side were Ana Vladimirovna Kosenkova, Charge d'Affaires of the Russian Federation, Fyodor Nikolaevich, President of the "Cosmonautics and Aviation" Center, Hero of the Russian Federation, pilot-cosmonaut, Dmitriy Yurievich Kozhaev, Head of the Department of the Interaction with Compatriots, Countries of the Commonwealth of Independent and Baltic States.

Also present at the signing of the memorandum were Vyacheslav Viktorovich Manuilov, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economy and International Relations of the Moscow City Government, Olga Andreevna Zhilina, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Economy and International Relations of the City Government from Moscow, Artur Valerievich Berlov Deputy Head of the Department of Public Relations and Youth Policy of the Moscow City Government, Anastasia Victorovna Sibileva. Head of the International Relations section of the Department of Foreign and International Economic Relations of the Government of the City of Moscow, Seguei Alexandrovich Oboznov, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Cuba.
