Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, attends the opening of the XXXVIII Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2022), which will take place until Friday at the Expocuba venue .

Along with the president are other leaders of the Party, government and the State, and at the opening ceremony Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister, welcomed the national and foreign businessmen, as well as the official delegations present including several Chambers of Commerce.

FIHAV has been held since 1983, and after the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions, it recovers its space thanks to the control of the transmission of the COVID-19 epidemic in Cuba, for which it is ratified as a business platform for companies new in the Cuban market and those already established.

During this commercial exchange, one of the most representative in Latin America and the Caribbean, there will be business meetings, business rounds, seminars and conferences, among other activities, and in their respective pavilions almost twenty countries will celebrate their national days.

Expression of the confidence that the international community has to invest or enter the Cuban market despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against the largest of the Antilles, is the presence not only of businessmen but also of official delegations chaired by senior officials.
