Dedicate your art to Havana on its 503rd Anniversary

If you like literature and love your city, realize yourself and write for the Big City Love 2022 contest. You must send it now, because the contest closes on November 5th.

This call is dedicated to the 503rd anniversary of the founding of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana, promoted by the Joseíto Fernández and Los Sitios Community Houses of Culture, respectively.

These are the bases of the contest because you are on time: creators from all over the country will be able to participate: children, young people and adults. It will compete in the genres of Poetry, Decima and Narrative (stories).

The works sent must be unpublished and self-authored. The texts will be written on a computer, two spaces, in Arial or Times New Roman font at 12 points. The theme will be free, only that it must be related to Havana and highlight some element or figure that characterizes it.

The originals will have a minimum length of one page and a maximum of five pages. The contest will be under a pseudonym or motto and the works will be received via email at the address oxidozero68@gmail.com.

Anyone who lives in Havana can deliver it personally to the Casa de la Cultura de Los Sitios: located at, Sitios n. 11 between Angeles and Rayo. Center Havana. Mode of sending by email in the SUBJECT will only be reflected Big City Love Literary Contest 2022

The reception of the works will last until November 8, 2022 during working hours for personalized delivery and until 12 at night, the works sent online.

A prize consisting of an artistic work and a diploma will be awarded for each of the genres in competition and the mentions that the jury deems appropriate, its decision is irrevocable.

The Love project will grant a Special Prize. The results will be announced on November 16, 2022 within the celebrations for the 503rd anniversary of Havana.
