Exchanges on architectural proposals for Havana will be held

The company Restaura is holding from Monday, October 17 to Tuesday, October 18, its Technical Conference on Circular Economy, Sustainability and Industrial Heritage: Essential pillars in the development agenda, at the Roberto Gottardi ReDi Center.

The program of these sessions includes exchanges and conferences, including HeriFIND: Specific tools for the efficient and sustainable rehabilitation and refunctionalization of the diverse and valuable industrial infrastructures of the former port area of the Bay of Havana and Intervention and reinforcement of deteriorated metal structures of the industrial heritage, by Iñaki Piñero and Jesús Diez, respectively, from Tecnalia.

The meeting will present topics such as A multidisciplinary intervention in a Historical Center with Monumental Protection: Renovation projects of the Market and the Municipal Administrative Building in Zarautz; Malecón 209. Sustainable housing project and new headquarters of the Antonio Núñez Jiménez Foundation.

Also on display will be the projects Convento Las Teresas, proposals on the possibilities of applying a circular economy in the Quinta de los Molinos, the emboque de Luz as an example of rehabilitation; Bahía Arroba. Advance of the Perspective Plan for the development of Habana Nueva; Historical Center of Havana. Smart City Project; Plan for the Protection of the Bay's Industrial Heritage.

These technical conferences will provide information on the evaluation of pathologies in industrial buildings, the proposal for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tallapiedra and Habanía 500. Refunctionalization and intentions of an intervention for the benefit of the city.

Restaura is a company dedicated to the development of architectural and urban planning projects of the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana. These conferences are developed within the framework of the International Cooperation Project HERIFIND: Specific Tools for the Efficient and Sustainable Rehabilitation and Refunctionalization of the diverse and valuable industrial infrastructures of the former port area of the Bay of Havana, with the collaboration of the Tecnalia Foundation and financing from the Basque Agency for Development Cooperation.
