IV Cuba-Health International Convention 2022 will be held in Havana.

On October 17, the IV International Convention Cuba-Health 2022 will begin in Havana, with the presence of Dr. Carissa Etienne, director of the Pan American Health Organization, twenty ministers, senior officials from the sector and more than 50 official delegations.

According to a report on the official website of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Ileana Morales, director of Science and Technological Innovation of the MINSAP, informed that as part of this event, which will be in session until October 21 at the Palace of Conventions of Havana, the XV Health for All Trade Fair and the 1st International Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being will be held.

The also executive secretary of the Convention, highlighted that the event is planned as a space of high scientific level with 33 international events, cancellation of stamps, book launches and an exhibition on the Cuban Health System.

Likewise, she affirmed that it will be a propitious moment to exchange experiences in the field of Health, science and biotechnology, as well as an opportunity to learn from each other and strengthen cooperation ties.

Morales Suárez expressed that the Convention and the two fairs, which will bring together more than two thousand participants from 65 countries, will be a platform for dialogue regarding technology transfers and sustainability of health systems, and will also make Havana the capital of Global health in the post-pandemic scenario.

Pastor Castell-Florit, president of the National Council of Scientific Societies, recognized the breadth of the program and mentioned that conferences, panels, round tables, book presentations and audiovisuals will be held, in addition, he stressed that until October 30 the virtual event that allows the participation of professionals from all provinces of the country.

Armando Garrido, president of the Importing and Exporting Company MEDICuba S.A, explained that the Trade Fair is part of the activities for the institution's 60th anniversary and will allow for strategic alliances for export and closer ties with business partners, national and foreign entities.

They anticipate, he said, the presence of 191 exhibitors, 130 delegates from 24 countries and more than 55 foreign companies, as well as 61 national entities, who will be able to exchange on topics such as the Cuban biotechnology industry and other productions from the sector to confront COVID- 19, the development of technology and innovation in Health, and the regulations of medicines, medical equipment and devices.

About the First International Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being, Yamila de Armas Águila, president of Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S. A., commented that it will make it possible to exhibit products, experiences and advances of health tourism in Cuba and in the world.

Within the framework of this fair, the first International Seminar on Medical Tourism and Well-being will be held, where knowledge about marketing models and trends will be exchanged, and the Second International Forum on Foreign Investment in the sector will delve into investment opportunities. .

The program of the IV Convention also includes the XV Health for All Trade Fair and the First International Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being, which will take place from October 17 to 20 at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds in the capital.
