The First Business Round of solutions for tourism, organized by the government in the capital and the territorial delegation of that sector, will be held on October 19 and 20 at the headquarters of the Local Development Project (PDL) Marcelo Salado Recreational Complex, at 1st and 38th, Miramar, Playa.

In statements to the ACN, Luis Carlos Góngora, coordinator of provincial government programs, pointed out that companies, Mipymes, non-agricultural cooperatives, PDL, agricultural producers and artists from the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets who can contribute goods can now register to participate. and services to the strategic sector in the high season.

The objective of this exchange with representatives of hotel and non-hotel chains, tour operators and the logistics system, both in the capital and in Artemisa and Mayabeque, is to contribute to the substitution of imports in the so-called leisure industry, to the productive chain and to establish alliances of cooperation, stressed the director.

He recalled that the aforementioned business round was scheduled for the end of September but was postponed due to the scourge of Hurricane Ian, and as stated in the call, participants must bring exhibition samples and information on their products and services, selecting those that are of interest for the tourism.

Potential contracts can be identified with the representatives of this sector, in areas such as food production (fresh and canned), maintenance of refrigeration, climate and transport equipment, cleaning and hygiene products and services, solutions and maintenance of means computers, decoration, gardening and offers of activities, among others.

Góngora stressed that even though the public will have access to the meeting, it is not a sales fair, but a commercial event aimed at economic actors helping to solve difficulties or needs present in hotels, chains and other facilities from the tourism industry.

Yohanis Águila Rodríguez, deputy delegate of Tourism in Havana, recently stated that there are many expectations around this initiative of the provincial government, to which other territories and the Superior Organizations of Business Management (OSDE) of the ministry of the branch are also interested in concluding agreements or contracts.
