The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, October 11, 4 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,111,242.

36 remain hospitalized and 23 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 6 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,102,640 (99.2%) recovered patients. 13 active cases were confirmed, all with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, cases were diagnosed in the municipalities of Centro Habana and Diez de Octubre.

For COVID-19, 1,175 samples were studied, resulting in 4 being positive. The country accumulates 14,166,734 samples carried out and 1,111,242 positives.

Of the 4 identified: 1 was a contact of a confirmed case, and 3 with a source of infection abroad.

1 female, and 3 male. There are no patients in Intensive Care.

One asymptomatic case was reported on the day, accumulating a total of 147,507, which represents 13.3%.

The 4 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 1; from 20 to 39, 1; from 40 to 59, 1: and from 60 and over 1 case.

Until this October 11, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.05% of the world, and 1.59% of the Americas.
