The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, September 9, 18 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,110,858.

220 remain hospitalized and 104 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 21 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,102,153 (99.2%) recovered patients. 115 active cases were confirmed, 115 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 2 new cases were diagnosed, one of them native and one imported, in the municipalities of Arroyo naranjo and Boyeros.

 For COVID-19, 1895 samples were studied, resulting in 18 positive samples. The country accumulates 14,116,563 samples carried out and 1,110,858 positives.

Of the 18 confirmed, 14 were contacts of confirmed cases, and 2 with a source of infection abroad, and 2 to be specified.

10 females, and 8 males. In Intensive Care, 1 patient is treated in serious condition.

Three asymptomatic cases are reported in the day, accumulating a total of 147,464, which represents 13.3%.

The 18 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 9; from 20 to 39, 3; from 40 to 59, 3; and 60 and over, 2 cases.

Until this September 9, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.06% of the world, and 1.6% of the Americas.
