Cuban president attends activity for the 35th anniversary of the "Young Computer Club"

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, attends today the central activity for the 35th anniversary of the Young Computer and Electronics Club, a project that brings new technologies closer to the Cubans.

The head of state participates in the reopening of the Central Youth Club, one of the more than 600 facilities that the institution has at the country level, located in Vedado, and founded by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

After an extensive rehabilitation process, the aforementioned venue will open its doors to the public on September 10 with attractive benefits for children and young people.

The president is accompanied by Jorge Luis Perdono Di-Lella, deputy prime minister; Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, general secretary of the Cuban Workers Central (CTC) and Aylín Álvarez García, first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC).

Representing the capital, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Party, and Reinaldo García Zapata, its governor, attend.
