A golden seal has been awarded for the centenary of Cuban radio.

Artists who have dedicated their lives, from sound and word to radio, were distinguished in a beautiful ceremony held at the Hotel Nacional in Havana.

Among them the talented and beloved Carmen Solar and René González Dussac.

In a special way, the Casas Rodríguez family, initiators of the first continuous radio broadcasts, the National Theater of Cuba and the UNESCO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean were recognized at the ceremony.

As part of the activities, a postal stamp was canceled for the centenary of the sound medium, an indispensable witness of history in the Greater Antilles.

The award ceremony for the golden seal for the centennial of the medium in Cuba was attended by the President of the ICRT, Alfonso Noya Martínez, and Yuzaima Cardona Villena, director of Radio Cubana.
