Havana does not report new positives for Covid-19

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, September 1, 42 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,110,631.

304 remain hospitalized and 107 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 47 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,101,845 (99.2%) recovered patients. 197 active cases were confirmed, of which 192 present stable clinical evolution.

In Havana no cases were diagnosed

 For COVID-19, 1889 samples were studied, resulting in 42 positive samples. The country accumulates 14,101,966 samples carried out and 1,110,631 positive.

Of the 42 confirmed, 31 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with a source of infection abroad and 9 to be specified.

Of the feminine sex 20, and of the masculine 22. In the Intensive Cares there are 3 confirmed seriously ill patients.

Three asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,447, which represents 13.3%.

The 42 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 30; from 20 to 39, 9; from 40 to 59, 2; and 60 and over, 1 case.

Until this September 1, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.07% of the world, and 1.6% of the Americas.
