The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, August 27, 70 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,110,407.

445 remain hospitalized and 160 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 58 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,101,573 (99.2%) recovered patients. 245 active cases were confirmed, 244 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 4 autochthonous cases were identified with the following distribution:

• Diez de Octubre - 1
• Marianao - 1
• Playa - 2.

For COVID-19, 2,309 samples were studied, resulting in 70 positive samples. The country accumulates 14,092,790 samples carried out and 1,110,407 positive.

Of the 70 confirmed, 52 were contacts of confirmed cases, 9 with a source of infection abroad and 9 to be specified.

11 asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,429, which represents 13.3%.

Until this August 27, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.07% of the world, and 1.6% of the Americas.
