The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, August 22, 48 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1110102.

497 remain hospitalized and 175 suspects.

To date, 8,530 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 60 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating 1,101,191 (99.2%) recovered patients. 322 active cases were confirmed, 331 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 1 autochthonous case was identified in the Cotorro municipality.

For COVID-19, 1,491 samples were studied, resulting in 48 positive samples. The country accumulates 14,082,839 samples carried out and 1,110,102 positive.
