ETECSA in the capital shows its results during 2022.

 

The ETECSA Division in the capital at the end of the first half of the year reflects favorable indicators despite the economic and contracting limitations abroad that slow down the acquisition of the necessary equipment to comply with the investments planned for this year.

Today it shows indices such as Internet access with at least one modality in 100% of the Popular Councils of the province.

During this period, 14 new Radio Bases (RB) have been installed for a total of 377 throughout the province, of which 368 are technology (4G); aspect that has favored the increase in mobile density to 89.56% per 100 inhabitants and a total of 1.9 million mobile lines in the province.

The increase in voice and data services has also been favorable, to date there are more than 479,000 basic telephone lines that contribute to a density of 22.47% per hundred inhabitants, (fixed sum, TFA), highlighting that the municipalities more depressed in this sense are: Cotorro, San Miguel del Padrón and Boyeros. It has grown by 3,095 services and there are currently 23 offers in the process of being granted in 10 municipalities, for approximately 2,000 capacities.

Today more than 60,000 households enjoy the Nauta Hogar service and there is a presence in 103 Popular Councils, except for El Canal and Santa Fe, Peñalver in the municipalities of Cerro and Guanabacoa, respectively, which are expected to be reached before the end of 2022.

The province also has more than 14,000 public lines in use and maintains 6,949 active telecommunications agents, which contribute to bringing services closer to the community, especially in peripheral areas and as a new employment option for people who are already retired.

Regarding the commercial network, we made improvements in its organizational units and Commercial Network and new contact points were inaugurated, among them is the #Digital Multiservice Center located in the EXPOCUBA Fairgrounds, the Minipoints located in the El Eléctrico neighborhood and another in Albergues Bahía de Regla, the Diez de Octubre Telecommunications Multiservice Center, which expanded their portfolio of services; The Minipoint of Monaco resumes its services and promotes new conditions for customers.

Two new points of presence are expected to be inaugurated in the second half of the year.

Likewise, it contributed to the social transformation in the neighborhoods with the remodeling carried out in the Community Pharmacy No. 965 of the municipality of Cerro, the works on the Boulevard de Guanabacoa in salute to the 486th anniversary, the creation of the specialized classroom in the Polytechnic Institute Osvaldo Herrera and the participation of girls and young people in competitions.

Maintain the hygienic-sanitary measures implemented to counteract the epidemiological situation, continue to comply with the saving and organizational measures indicated by the Company to face the electro-energy situation, prioritizing the solution to service interruptions, as well as growing in the commercialization of new services. to the population, optimizing all the available capacities (offers, free capacities of Nauta Hogar and mobile lines), are some of the projections of the ETECSA workers in the capital for the second half of the current year.
