Cuba honors: The identity of the 14 disappeared in the Matanzas fire is revealed.

Painful days have passed in the country's history. After a week trying to control the most intense fire on record in these lands, the task of finding traces of the 14 disappeared began at the Matanzas supertanker base.

Only small bone fragments could be found. The high temperatures and the time of exposure to them made it impossible to completely identify the remains.

Sixteen men lost their lives trying to quell the ferocity of the flames. The first ones that the people of Cuba heard about were the first water tank operator Juan Carlos Santana Garrido, from the Camilo Cienfuegos Oil Refinery Fire Department, and the young officer Elier Manuel Correa Aguilar, head of the fire truck professional of the Matanzas Airport Command. This Thursday the identity of the 14 who were missing was reported. Our condolences go out to family and friends.
