The capital reports 4 of the 100 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, August 2, 100 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 108 thousand 361.

 717 remain hospitalized and 292 suspects.

 To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 94 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 99 thousand 348 (99.2%) recovered patients. 425 active cases were confirmed, 414 of them with stable clinical course.

 In Havana, 4 cases were identified, of which 3 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in three of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Arrollo Naranjo –1

Boyeros –1

Playa–2

 

For COVID-19, 2,062 samples were studied, resulting in 100 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 040 thousand 241 samples carried out and one million 108 thousand 361 positives.

 Of the 100 confirmed cases, 69 were contacts of confirmed cases, 4 with a source of infection abroad, and 27 without specifying.

 Of the feminine sex 63, and of the masculine 37. In the Intensive Cares 10 patients are assisted, of them a patient in critical condition and 10 seriously.

 10 (10%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,302, which represents 13.3%.

 The 60 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 57; from 20 to 39, 14; from 40 to 59, 12; and 60 and over, 17 cases.

 Until this August 2, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.11% of the world, and 1.63% of the Americas.
