The capital registers with 7 of the 60 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, August 1, 60 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 108 thousand 261.

694 remain hospitalized and 275 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 88 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 99 thousand 254 (99.2%) recovered patients. 419 active cases were confirmed, 410 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 7 cases were identified, all autochthonous. Cases were reported in 6 of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Boyeros –1

Diez de Octubre –2

Cerro –1

Guanabacoa –1

Plaza de la Revolucion –1

San Miguel del Padrón –1

 

For COVID-19, 1,684 samples were studied, resulting in 60 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 038 thousand 279 samples carried out and one million 108 thousand 261 positives.

Of the 60 confirmed, 46 were contacts of confirmed cases, 1 with a source of infection abroad, and 13 unspecified.

31 were female, and 29 were male. 9 patients are cared for in Intensive Care, one of them in critical condition and 8 in serious condition.

4 (6.6%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,292, which represents 13.3%.

The 60 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 39; from 20 to 39, 8; from 40 to 59, 8; and 60 and over, 5 cases.

Until this August 1, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.11% of the world, and 1.63% of the Americas.
