15 of the 97 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba are reported in the capital.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 29, 97 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 107 thousand 985.

734 remain hospitalized and 289 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 107 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 98 thousand 952 (99.2%) recovered patients. 445 active cases were confirmed, 439 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 15 cases were identified, of them 14 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in 8 of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Boyeros –2

Diez de Octubre –1

Habana del Este –1

Marianao –1

La Lisa –1

Plaza de la Revolución –2

San Miguel del Padrón –2

For COVID-19, 2,166 samples were studied, resulting in 97 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 031 thousand 635 samples carried out and one million 107 thousand 985 positives.

Of the 97 confirmed cases, 70 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with a source of infection abroad, and 25 without specifying.

Of the feminine sex 60, and of the masculine 37. In the Intensive Cares 6 patients are assisted, reported as serious.

11 (11.3%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,271, which represents 13.3%.

The 97 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 51; from 20 to 39, 28; from 40 to 59, 10; and 60 and over, 8 cases.

Until this July 29, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.11% of the world, and 1.64% of the Americas.
