14 of the 100 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba are identified in the capital

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 25, 100 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 107 thousand 610.

 

761 remain hospitalized and 270 suspects.

 

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of today) and 99 medical discharges were given (today), accumulating one million 98 thousand 531 (99.2%) recovered patients. 491 active cases were confirmed, 486 of them with stable clinical evolution.

 

In Havana, 14 cases were identified, 13 of them native and one imported. Cases were reported in five of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

 

Arroyo Naranjo –3

 

Cerro –2

 

Plaza de la Revolución –5

 

Playa –1

 

San Miguel del Padrón–3

 

For COVID-19, 1,799 samples were studied, resulting in 100 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 023 thousand 092 samples carried out and one million 107 thousand 610 positives.

 

Of the 100 confirmed cases, 78 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with a source of infection abroad, and 19 without specifying.

 

63 of the female sex, and 37 of the male sex. In the Intensive Cares 5 patients are assisted, of them 3 in critical condition and 2 in serious condition.

 

11 (11%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,241, which represents 13.3%.

 

The 100 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 78; from 20 to 39, 39; from 40 to 59, 11; and 60 and over, 17 cases.

 

Until this July 25, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.11% of the world, and 1.64% of the Americas.
