18 of the 96 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba are diagnosed in the capital.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 23, 96 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 107 thousand 407.

760 remain hospitalized and 309 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 69 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 98 thousand 368 (99.2%) recovered patients. 451 active cases were confirmed, 443 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 18 cases were identified, of them 14 autochthonous and four imported. Cases were reported in ten of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Diez de Octubre –2

Habana del Este –1

Guanabacoa –1

Plaza de la Revolución –4

San Miguel del Padrón–1

For COVID-19, 3,194 samples were studied, resulting in 96 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 018 thousand 647 samples carried out and one million 107 thousand 407 positives.

Of the 96 confirmed, 68 were contacts of confirmed cases, 7 with a source of infection abroad, and 21 unspecified.

Of the feminine sex 51, and of the masculine 45. In the Intensive Cares 8 patients are assisted, of them 4 in critical condition and 4 serious.

 10 (10.4%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,222, which represents 13.3%.

The 96 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 43; from 20 to 39, 28; from 40 to 59, 7; and 60 and over, 18 cases.

Until this July 23, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.12% of the world, and 1.65% of the Americas.
