The capital with 21 of the 114 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba.

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 22, 114 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 107 thousand 311.

714 remain hospitalized and 290 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 65 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 98 thousand 299 (99.2%) recovered patients. 424 active cases were confirmed, 417 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 21 cases were identified, 20 of them native and one imported. Cases were reported in ten of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Centro Habana –1

Diez de Octubre –2

Habana Vieja –1

Lisa –2

Marianao –2

Plaza de la Revolución –2

Beach –2

San Miguel del Padrón–2

For COVID-19, 2,509 samples were studied, resulting in 114 positive samples. The country accumulates 14 million 015 thousand 453 samples carried out and one million 107 thousand 311 positives.

Of the 114 confirmed cases, 98 were contacts of confirmed cases, 5 with a source of infection abroad, and 11 without specifying.

Of the feminine sex 69, and of the masculine 45. In the Intensive Cares 7 patients are assisted, of them 4 in critical condition and 3 serious.

 10 (8.8%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,212, which represents 13.3%.

The 114 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 57; from 20 to 39, 26; from 40 to 13, 6; and 60 and over, 18 cases.

Until this July 22, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.12% of the world, and 1.65% of the Americas.
