The capital registers 13 of the 31 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 11, 31 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 106 thousand 490.

425 remain hospitalized and 219 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 44 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 695 (99.2%) recovered patients. 206 active cases were confirmed, 205 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 13 cases were identified, 12 autochthonous and one imported. Cases were reported in eight of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Parrot – 2

October Tenth –2

Guanabacoa – 1

Eastern Havana –1

Smooth –1

Beach –1

For COVID-19, 1,571 samples were studied, resulting in 31 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 989 thousand 048 samples carried out and one million 106 thousand 490 positives.

Of the 31 confirmed, 22 were contacts of confirmed cases, 6 with a source of infection abroad, and 3 unspecified.

Of the feminine sex 21, and of the masculine 10. In the Intensive Cares a patient is treated in serious condition.

 One (24.3%) asymptomatic case is reported, accumulating a total of 147,129, which represents 13.3%.

The 31 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 19; from 20 to 39, 8; from 40 to 59, 2; and 60 and over, 2 cases.

Until this July 11, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.14% of the world, and 1.67% of the Americas.
