From the capital 11 of the 37 new positives to Covid-19 in Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 10, 37 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 106 thousand 459.

423 remain hospitalized and 204 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 25 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 651 (99.2%) recovered patients. 219 active cases were confirmed, 218 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 11 cases were identified, 10 autochthonous and one imported. Cases were reported in eight of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Beach –1

Revolution Square –2

San Miguel del Padrón –1

For COVID-19, 2,021 samples were studied, resulting in 37 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 987 thousand 477 samples carried out and one million 106 thousand 459 positives.

Of the 37 confirmed, 33 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with a source of infection abroad, and 2 without specifying.

Of the feminine sex 17, and of the masculine 20. In the Intensive Cares a patient is treated in serious condition.

 9 (24.3%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,128, which represents 13.3%.

The 37 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 19; from 20 to 39, 7; from 40 to 59, 7; and 60 and over, 4 cases.

Until this July 10, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.14% of the world, and 1.67% of the Americas.
