Diagnosed in the capital 16 of the 57 new positives to Covid-19 in Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 9, 57 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 106 thousand 422.

392 remain hospitalized and 185 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 35 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 626 (99.2%) recovered patients. 207 active cases were confirmed, 205 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 16 autochthonous cases were identified. Cases were reported in eight of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Cattle Dogs –1

Hill – 1

Parrot –2

October Tenth –1

Eastern Havana –1

Revolution Square –1

San Miguel del Padrón –3

For COVID-19, 2,503 samples were studied, resulting in 57 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 985 thousand 456 samples carried out and one million 106 thousand 422 positives.

Of the 57 confirmed cases, 51 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with a source of infection abroad, and 3 without specifying.

Of the feminine sex 34, and of the masculine 23. In the Intensive Cares 2 confirmed patients are attended, of them one critical, and one serious.

 5 (8.8%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,119, which represents 13.3%.

The 57 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 26; from 20 to 39, 17; from 40 to 59, 5; and 60 and over, 5 cases.

Until this July 9, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.14% of the world, and 1.67% of the Americas.
