15 of the 43 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba are identified in the capital

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 6, 43 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 106 thousand 283.

375 remain hospitalized and 199 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 41 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 519 (99.2%) recovered patients. 176 active cases were confirmed, 174 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 15 cases were identified, 13 autochthonous and 2 imported. Cases were reported in nine of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Hill – 1

Guanabacoa – 2

Eastern Havana– 1

October Tenth – 2

Marianao – 2

Beach – 2

Revolution Square –2

For COVID-19, 2,728 samples were studied, resulting in 43 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 978 thousand 574 samples carried out and one million 106 thousand 283 positives.

Of the 43 confirmed cases, 37 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with a source of infection abroad, and 3 without specifying.

Of the female sex 23, and of the male 20. In the Intensive Care, 2 confirmed patients are cared for, one of them critical, and one serious.

 6 (13.9%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,099, which represents 13.3%.

The 43 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 19; from 20 to 39, 10; from 40 to 59, 2; and 60 and over, 12 cases.

Until this July 6, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.14% of the world, and 1.68% of the Americas.
