Recreational proposals of the José Martí National Library for children in the summer

Multiple and varied recreational activities have been conceived by the José Martí National Library (BNJM) for children in the summer period.

The official website of the BNJM informs that every day of the summer you can find a fun and interesting option in the Eliseo Diego Youth Children's Room.

Until this July 9, this room in the morning schedule proposes three workshops: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays it invites you to discover the charms of the so-called science game (chess); Tuesday and Thursday will be dedicated to crafts, and Saturday to transit.

During the afternoon you can enjoy different games in the toy library. Monday starts with board games, puzzles and coloring books; the space literature taken to the cinema, reserves for Wednesday the projection of films based on books; and on Fridays it continues with crossword puzzles, didactic games and to learn calligraphy, among others.

The Pippa and her friends space begins on Tuesday with storytelling activities, participatory games with songs and puppets. Thursday reserves various outdoor games, such as the traditional pon, swiss, bowling, sack races, and colored chalk drawings on the pavement.

On Saturdays throughout the day there will be educational activities, participatory games, storytelling, among other proposals.

The El Reino de este Mundo gallery reserves the exhibition Where Poetry Nests, by photographer Roberto Chile and twenty Cuban poets.

Similarly, the Leonor Pérez Cabrera Reference Room hosts the bibliographic exhibition for the centenary of the birth of the Cuban poet Carilda Oliver Labra, which is commemorated on July 6.
